Caitlin and Kris met me out in Baldwin Park for their lovely outdoor engagement session. From a beautiful rocky lake backdrop to pink grassy bushes swaying in the wind, it was the perfect spot for the two to share and capture a few intimate moments before the big day.
My sweethearts actually met online and after texting back and forth for a few weeks decided to meet in person. Their connection was instant and their personalities completely clicked. As Caitlin describes her love for Kris, “he will support me no matter.” Even with her quirks as she describes it, he truly loves her and every bit of her silly weird side. Kris would describe Caitlin’s quirkiness a little differently though, as he feels she is beautiful both inside and out. She completes him and they just ‘get one another’ from their personalities to their goals in life.
During our session, you could feel the love of how much one another leans on each other for support. It was like they were reading each other’s thoughts without having to say a word. Caitlin’s eyes told a story though as she leaned on her beloved’s shoulder. The intimacy drew you in and their quiet and calm personalities was unwavering.
During Thanksgiving while spending time with Caitlin’s family, Kris knew it was time to propose. He wanted to make it special and intimate so that it truly represented the two of them. After dinner and a movie, the two headed back to Mount Dora where Caitlin’s family was. During Christmastime, Mount Dora goes all out in decorating the downtown area with lights. Chris asked Caitlin to go for a walk with him and their puppy Ozzy to see the lights and that she should “dress up” a little. As Caitlin reminsices, “I should’ve known something was up because Kris said we should “dress up” to walk down there.” While admiring the beauty of the lights and their love, Kris stopped noticing Ozzy was sniffing the ground to see what was up. Little did Caitlin know it was a little ruse for Kris to drop down to the ground and take out the ring. Looking back at Kris who was with Ozzy kneeling before her, he asked for her hand in marriage, which of course she said “yes!” The proposal was perfect – just the two of them under the beauty of the lights.
Looking forward to capturing these two tie the knot this very month at the beautiful Lake Eola Park!
