Cypress Grove Estate House Engagement

Karen & Noah’s Cypress Grove Estate House Engagement – Captured by Whitney

Karen & Noah met Whitney at Cypress Grove Estate House for their engagement photos before they tie the knot there next year!  We love how both of their outfits perfectly match the charming estate.

How They Met

We met through Bumble in July of 2018 while living in Memphis. Despite going to rival colleges (Ole Miss and Mississippi State), we never knew each other until we started our careers in Memphis. Noah was very against using a dating app, but thanks to his sister, he agreed to give it a shot. Within a few days of matching, we had exchanged phone numbers and planned our first date. Our first date was a Memphis Redbirds Harry Potter Baseball night. We got to watch the fireworks, eat stadium food, and spend the whole evening talking. After that first date, it didn’t take long for us to be inseparable. A few weeks later, we went to Nashville, where Noah asked me to be his girlfriend.

What They Love Most

Karen about Noah: What I love most about Noah is his sense of humor, his cooking, and his love for rescuing animals. When I am having a bad day, Noah is able to make me laugh, smile, and forget about my problems. He is constantly making myself and those around him full of laughter. I look forward to getting to talk to him because I know that he can always make me laugh. In addition, Noah’s cooking skills are out of this world. He prepares dinner and breakfast every single day. He makes difficult and time consuming recipes like Birria, homemade pasta, and his famous Gumbo. Every meal he makes is amazing and he loves doing it. Noah and I also share a passion for animal rescuing. Between the two of us, we have 4 cats and 2 dogs. Even with our zoo, he still reaches out to shelters, fosters dogs, and supports rescue organizations.

Noah about Karen: What I love most about Karen is her overwhelming, seemingly effortless commitment to joy. Not every day is perfect, great, or even good, but Karen makes every moment better for everyone around her. She radiates love and support, warming her friends, students, family, and fur-family, even if it leaves her cold. Even when she has a case of the grumps, and oh boy does she get them, I still want to be close to her.
