Tara & Michael’s Orlando LDS Wedding

Tara and Michael sealed the knot during their LDS Orlando Temple wedding in Windermere, Florida. The two met only briefly back in 2010 during a church volleyball game, but didn’t really officially meet until two years ago. While scrolling through Facebook, Mike happened to notice a photo Tara was tagged in on a mutual friend’s timeline. At the time Mike was living in Orlando and Tara was living in Fort Myers. Still his interest in Tara sparked and he asked their friend to “put in a good word” for him with Tara before asking her on an official first date back in October of 2013.

Their first date turned into a committed relationship with Mike often making long drives down to Fort Myers to see his beloved. In September of 2015, while ring shopping together, Mike had secretly gone back to the store and picked out “the ring” that Tara had wanted. A few weeks later, while at dinner at a restaurant on the bay in Estero, Florida, Mike told Tara how much she meant to him. He knew he had found his soul mate. After a sweet dinner shared, the two walked along Bonita Beach to watch the sunset. As the sun was setting, Mike got down on one knee and proposed to his darling wife to be. As Tara puts it, his proposal “was super sweet and we are ridiculously excited!”

The two tied the knot during their sealing at the Orlando Florida LDS Temple. The grandeur of the temple is just incredible. From massive columns to crisp white stone, it is a masterpiece within itself. The two pictured a wedding filled with happiness, elegance, and one that is stress-free. While technically a Winter wedding, the two love the beach and decided to go with a beach theme. The bridesmaids wore mismatched dresses of different shades of aquamarine, while the groomsmen wore grey suits with ties that matched the bridesmaid dresses.

Our shoot started off with their exit from the temple. Family and friends stood around clapping in excitement and running up to hug the couple. After spending some time in front of the entrance, we headed to the side of the temple for family and wedding party portraits. Our session ended with portraits of my adorable newlyweds and some fabulous detail shots of their rings.

Wishing these two an incredible life together!
