Lori and Greg met me out at beautiful Leu Gardens in the heart of the Orlando / Winter Park area for their lovely, floral engagement this past week. I have to admit when planning out our session, I was a little hesitant to shoot so late in the day at 9 AM. Typically we aim between 7 to 7:30 AM for nice soft light and to avoid the Florida humidity, however the weather man upstairs must have been smiling down on my sweethearts as the perfect overcast morning rolled in, which made for the perfect cool morning to shoot an engagement.
With her heart set on different shades of color in the background for their engagement, at least a few shades different from just green – Lori knew that Leu would be the perfect spot. Her kind and gentle fiancé Greg of course was along for the ride and loved spending time with his darling. The two actually met through a social group at their church. During the first meeting, Greg spotted Lori and worked up the courage to ask her out on an official date after a few more meetings. Lori’s laughter is absolutely radiating and I can absolutely see how their date turned from a simple going out to a four hour dinner!
When asking my darlings about what they love most about one another, Greg replied that he loves Lori’s charm and bubbly personality, oh and of course her eggplant parmesan (Lori – remind me to ask myself to dinner hahaha!). Lori loves the way “Greg is so caring, easy going and willing to do anything for me and others.” Truly a match made in heaven!
From the moment Greg laid eyes on Lori, he knew she was the one. Their proposal couldn’t have been more sweet and endearing. The two had plans to celebrate their eight month anniversary with Lori meeting Greg at his place. When she arrived, to absolute surprise and sheer joy stood Greg in the kitchen with a table set for two. A red table cloth, heart shaped tea lights, sparkling cider, and tons of roses were laid out on the table all for Lori. When she went to take her seat at the table, she noticed that “I Love You” was spelled out in tea lights on the counter. Greg sat down with her and asked to read her a story, the story of “Lori and Greg.” After reading the most beautiful poem and writing about how he wanted to be Lori’s “Prince Charming Forever,” he asked Lori for her hand in marriage as he got down on one knee with the most gorgeous engagement ring. Lori of course said “yes!”
Looking forward to capturing my sweet bride to be Lori and her Prince Charming Forever Greg at Timacuan Golf Club for what I know will be one stunner of a wedding!
