Merritt Island Wedding

Jessica & Kip’s Merritt Island Red and Gold Holiday Wedding

Jessica and Kip tied the knot on a beautifully, cool and bright sunny day in Merritt Island, Florida. The stunning backdrop for their ceremony and reception was behind Kip’s mother’s house overlooking the water. Jessica’s white gown had a dramatic train that seemed to go on for miles. It was the perfect complement to Kip’s untraditional white suit, which fit his outgoing personality. I started my day capturing Kip and his groomsmen getting ready at the International Palms Resort & Conference Center. Touches of red were found throughout the wedding including in Kip’s tie and boutonnière, and Jessica’s holiday bouquet. Jessica and her lovely bridesmaids were dressing in the master room of the home. Her sister who was also her maid of honor helped put on her dress and finish final makeup touches. Jessica’s mother Denise and Jessica’s grandmother came in after to spend time with the gorgeous bride. The bride getting ready is one of my favorite moments throughout the wedding. Everyone is calm, but at the same time excited for what is to come.

Kip and his groomsmen had a big surprise for all of their guests. I met them at Grills Riverside in Cape Canaveral, Florida to see them sail off to wedding. Before heading on board they had a bite to eat and reminisced about Kip’s bachelor days. The excitement of Jessica and Kip’s family and friends seeing the groom and his men arrive by boat and the bride walking down the aisle was incredible. It was a smaller wedding, with around 70 of their closest family and friends. The two said their “I do’s” underneath a holiday arch adorned with garland and pops of red poinsettias.

Additional newlywed portraits took place under the setting sun out on the dock. Bright yellows, oranges, purples, and deep blues covered the skies. Speeches from the best man and maid of honor, reminded the two of how they met. Kip at the time worked as a manager at a local Chick-fil-A that Jessica and her sister frequented. The two became friends chatting during long nights at the restaurant and soon started dating. Kip got down on one knee to ask for Jessica’s hand during a mini-getaway. Jessica’s best friend caught the entire proposal on camera, completely unaware that Kip had invited her along to witness a milestone in her best friend’s life. After the toasts, everyone came to the dance floor to get their groove on under the dramatic starry night sky. Wishing these two health and happiness for the New Year and every year to follow.Merritt Island weddingMerritt Island wedding Merritt Island weddingMerritt Island wedding Merritt Island wedding Merritt Island weddingMerritt Island Wedding Merritt Island Wedding Merritt Island Wedding Merritt Island Wedding Merritt Island Wedding Merritt Island Wedding Merritt Island Wedding Merritt Island Wedding Merritt Island WeddingMerritt Island Wedding Merritt Island Wedding Merritt Island WeddingMerritt Island Wedding
