Magnolia House Wedding

Purple & Gold Indian Wedding at the Magnolia House

January has truly been full speed ahead. I have been incredibly fortunate to have so many gorgeous brides inside and out. From engagements to weddings, and featured in this post a styled shoot – it has been a jam packed month.

Carol Sutton with Bold, Beautiful and Beyond Weddings invited me to take part in a gorgeous styled shoot at the Magnolia House. Located in the Trilogy community, the Magnolia House is an exquisite wedding venue offering perfectly manicured lawns and a jaw dropping ballroom.

While Carol and her team were prepping the ballroom, my adorable model Rose was getting ready with Janet from Onsite Beauty. Truly America’s Next Top Model, Rose has a personality that radiates and a stunningly exotic look. She was the perfect choice for our Indian themed wedding.

Janet, owner and artist of Onsite Beauty, has been beautifying brides for the past 20 years from North Florida to Disney. She created a bold statement look on Rose that accentuated her cheek bones, fabulous smile, and thick locks of hair. My favorite part to the look was the perfectly matched pink lipstick to Rose’s pink and purple sari.

I really lucked out when I stumbled upon the pink, purple, and gold trimmed sari we used for our shoot. The traditional dress is frequently worn by women in India and can vary in length. We had to wrap it several times around our model to find the perfect way for it to drape over her shoulder.

After hair and makeup were done, and our set up was ready to go, I headed over to the ballroom to begin shooting. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I walked in. I literally stopped in my place and stood in awe by how gorgeous our styled shoot was about to be.

I immediately started off shooting the pergola provided by A Chair Affair that was trimmed with beautiful floral created by Carol. Crystals and gems hung from transparent strings behind the gold king and queen chairs, while cushions for praying and gold floral vases stood along the sides. The detail on the ornate vases of the tiniest flowers and gold thread in the prayer cushions was outstanding. Junction 88 did an incredible job lighting up the pergola by perfectly placing one light along each and every base.

After capturing the pergola and it’s décor, we moved on to the sweetheart table. Rich, luxurious hues of coral, orange, and purple flowed throughout the room. The sweetheart table dressed in orange and coral was definitely a statement piece for guests to “ooo” and “ahh” over. Crystal glasses and gold silverware were perfect to enhance the luxurious feel of our shoot.

Lia Brigner with Couture Cakes by Lia surprised us all when she walked in with her 14k gold wedding cake. That’s right, she used real gold in the creation of her masterpiece. Each tier was more in-depth than the next and each uniquely beautiful. I adore Lia’s detail on the applique centered on the top two tiers and pillow trim on the bottom tier. We all couldn’t help but want to grab a slice, but it was just too beautiful to touch!

Guests would have loved to enjoy a slice of cake while sitting at our lavish guest table. Pink crystal charger plates and gold silverware centered each chiavari chair. Even the gold chairs were decorated with orange fabric to tie back into the sweetheart table. And my oh my, check out the floral centerpiece. I loved the height on the piece allowing guests to easily converse while dining and truly a bold statement that would have everyone captivated from the moment they walked in.

Our cocktail table and gift table were also exceptionally beautiful. More floral and luxurious candles graced each table to welcome guests in. My favorite accessory by far though was on the gift table of the sweetest little elephant. Did you know that it is culturally good luck and good fortune when blessed with an elephant who has his trunk up? Thank you Carol for the tid-bit of information!

I can’t thank all of the vendors involved enough to make this dream shoot happen!

I encourage you to add them on Facebook and check out their work online. A perfectly fabulous team for a perfectly fabulous shoot!
