Baby Ellis’ In-home Newborn Session

In-home Newborn Session

You may remember Kristin and Daniel from their darling engagement session a few months back.  The two were so excited to welcome their baby boy into the world, and it was such a joy to be able to capture the beautiful moment of excitement for the future.

Born on November 29th at 5:18 AM, baby Ellis weighed in at six pounds and eleven ounces, and 20 inches long!  As Kristin explained, “our lives changed the second he was born.”  We gained something we didn’t even know we were missing!”

Spending hours just watching him sleep, and of course taking numerous photos all day long admiring their beautiful boy, the two mentioned that while they may not get as much sleep as they used to, they “wouldn’t change it for the world!  The minute he looks at us or grabs our fingers makes it all worth it.”

With so much learning to do and so much of their journey through parenthood ahead, Kristen mentioned  that the best piece of advice she received is to let your little one way you up when they are ready to feed at night.  At first, Kristen explained, they were setting alarms to be right on the dot with three hour feedings, and now when Ellis is hungry around that time whether it be a little earlier or a little later, he lets them know.  Those few extra minutes of sleep have been so beneficial.   And of course the best piece of advice both Kristen and Daniel shared was to “work together as a team!”   I couldn’t agree more!

A big congratulations to my beautiful family!  From their maternity session to Ellis’ newborn photos, we feel incredibly honored to be able to capture such magical times in their lives!
