Tanner Hall Wedding

Sara & Chris’ Tanner Hall Wedding in Winter Garden

Sara and Chris’ Tanner Hall wedding in Winter Garden was the perfect way to tie the knot. Their story first began during a local meet up at Wall Street Cantina in Downtown Orlando when the two locked eyes. While they chatted the night away, Sara didn’t think much would come of it, but little did she know Chris though otherwise. Shortly after meeting, Chris added her on Facebook and invited her out to another group meet up. Sara obliged since she was both interested in seeing Chris again and meeting new faces. Upon Sara walking through the door, Chris saw her immediately and bee lined her way. It was truly one of those moments frozen in time when you just feel like you are in the Notebook.

The two hit it off and kept in touch for the next several months while Sara was working out of state until she came home and they were able to make it ‘official.’ During Valentine’s Day weekend, Sara, Chris, her parents, and her sister’s family attended a marriage seminar hosted by their church. Little did she know (well maybe she knew a little) what might be following. That night after everyone was getting ready to head to bed, Chris proposed to Sara asking for her hand in marriage – and of course she said yes!

My day started off with capturing Sara and her sisters, who were also her bridesmaids, getting ready in the bridal suite near Tanner Hall. Stephani and Julianne had me laughing the whole time as they attempted to use their dad’s clothing steamer and opening a giant sized bottle of wine. Sara being the sweetheart she is, laughed along and appreciated everyone was enjoying the day. With my bride ready and bridesmaids almost ready, we headed off for Sara and Chris’ first look view.

But what is a first view? Well, for the duo it was important to have photos before, but they did not want to see one another. When scouting out areas for a potential location, I just fell in love with the arching bridge right behind the bridal suite. With Sara positioned on one side and Chris on the other, it was the perfect way to capture them together without seeing one another. A big thank you to Chris who figured out how to walk up the stairs backwards
The two envisioned an outdoor ceremony with pastel pink, plum, and sage green for their color scheme. Set among Lake Apopka, friends and family gathered under a sweet, little gazebo to watch the two tie the knot. Their ceremony was unique in including elements of the signing of the marriage certificate to a joyful cord tying binding the two together.

We really wanted to utilize the entire location and focused on the front of the building for family formal portraits with more artistic portraits of the bridal party in the back by the arching bridge. The reception started off with a bang as Eddie Marshall announced the couple in. Cocktails catering served the most delicious food with guests getting up for seconds.
Our night continued on after dinner with fabulous hits from the 70s, 80s, and today. Eddie was accommodating in taking requests as guests boogied down. With dancing wrapping up and my couple ready to head off as Mr. and Mrs., we lined up the remaining guests for a beautiful sparkler send off. Wishing these two an incredible life together!

  5. Boy, the Orlando area has some great wedding venues…and Tanner Hall is one of them! What a beautiful wedding this was! It looks like the bridal party was a lot of fun to photograph. Some cloud cover didn’t stop them either. Beautiful wedding portraits as always!

  6. I really love this peek into this Orlando couple’s wedding! The bride near Tanner Hall is such a great place for some of the wedding photos — especially the first look photos. That’s a really neat idea to have them on either side and to climb the bridge to see each other. I wish I had done first look photos when I was married. It’s a special and private little moment for the bride and groom. Beautiful work from a great Orlando Wedding Photographer!
