Julie and Cory met me out at beautiful Lake Louisa for their engagement session among the oak trees.
As luck may have it, Julie and Cory had a mutual friend who introduced the two on April 11th of 2016. Inviting Cory along to join in at World of Beer for a night out, he almost didn’t go and was just going to stay home for the night, but was so glad he did!
The two became inseparable from that moment and fell in love with how intelligent each other is.
Knowing he had found the one, Cory wanted to plan his proposal around the holidays so that their family could be there to celebrate the moment. Putting in an order for a custom ring, he had to wait until Christmas when his family from Ohio would be in town, along with the ring arriving. Celebrating the holidays with family, Cory pulled Julie away for a moment together to take a walk outside. The chilly night and approaching darkness came faster than Cory had realized, and as he stumbled through his words, he looked at Julie and realized it was the moment. Dropping to one knee, he asked for her hand in marriage and through the tears of joy she said, “yes!” Going back inside to see their family, Cory’s step-sister Andrea was the first to notice the engagement ring as news soon spread. As Cory remembers that night, “it was so nice to share the moment with all of them since we live in Florida.”
As Cory and Julie move through the wedding planning process, their best piece of advice for other couples it to truly “communicate about everything.”
