Brianna and Christopher tied the knot during their beautiful Catholic ceremony at St. Joseph Catholic Church and partied the night away during their reception at the Palmetto Riverside Bed and Breakfast. From traditional to modern, each venue tied in perfectly together.
My sweethearts first met at their place of work. Chris at the time was actually Brianna’s manager, but they really didn’t talk very much. A year after having begun her position, the two joined in on a meetup after work for drinks and hit it off right away. It is crazy to think that the love of their life was right by their side the whole time before they even knew it!
Brianna fell in love with the “sense of comfort” that she has when she is around Chris, oh an of course his sense of humor! Chris just has a way about him in making Brianna always feel like the apple of his eye. Even during his the reading of his love note to Bri, it was clear as day that he was ready to make the move to make her his wife instead of just his girlfriend or fiance. For Chris, Bri’s empathy is truly what he loves most about her in the way she cares for him and those around her. He does admit though that he loves how she is funnier than him.
Chris knew shorty into dating that Bri was the one for him. He had found his soulmate and the love of his life. During a friends and family get together at Casa Marina in Jacksonville Beach, Chris asked for Bri’s hand in marriage in front of everyone they loved and cared about. It was incredibly special to have so many loved ones with them to witness such a special moment.
Their wedding day was filled with just as much love as the their proposal. Starting our morning off with Bri getting ready, along with her bridesmaids and maid of honors, we captured a ton of fun shots from toasting on the bed to silly candids. My favorite moment of getting ready though for Bri was the special alone time she had with her mom. Mom requested to have time with her daughter as she got in the dress, so we kindly made it happen by asking the others to step out for a moment. Emotional and filled withe love, the two fought back tears. What is so important about having this time with your mom, maid of honor, or whoever is that special someone helping you get in your dress is that it is the only time you will have for the two of you – so make the most of it and enjoy the emotion filled moment.
Chris and his guys were already at the church when we arrived and fully suited up. Lined up and looking stunning, each bridesmaid walked down the aisle with a groomsman. Bri lit up the room on the arm of her father as everyone stood up and turned to see her. Of course our cameras are always first pointed at our groom before we immediately move to our bride to capture the excitement that only we see.
After their ceremony, formal portraits took place in the church with their family before we headed back to the reception venue for wedding party and newlywed portraits. Taming our gentleman was clearly out of the question, as they were an absolutely silly bunch! We had a blast having them practice their ‘GQ walk’ towards the camera and attempting to be serious for a few portraits. Newlywed portraits are of course my favorite and with being ahead of schedule, we were excited to utilize the time to capture multiple locations from the front lawn, to the entrance, to the dock.
From reception entrances, to emotional toasts, and tons of dancing and mingling, our night ended with a sparkler send off and sweet goodbyes to our couple. Wishing these two an amazing life together!
