Anniversary portrait sessions with your hubby or wife are the perfect way to celebrate a one year, five year, or really any year milestone! Within just the first year, you would have taken the honeymoon of your dreams, potentially purchased your first home together, began married life, and may have even started your family or a new career. For this month’s bridal tips, I chatted with my couples who celebrated their one year milestone with an anniversary portrait session about their reasoning behind capturing such a special moment!
Lissette & Isaac
Putting down roots in Florida, Lissette and Isaac started their forever together in Charleston, South Carolina where they tied the knot at Boone Hall Plantation. The two celebrated both their big move to the sunny state along with their one year anniversary, with a gorgeous shoot at Cypress Grove Estate House. From home cooked meals to traveling abroad for Isaac’s career, the two agree that “life is always better together!”
Nicole & Andy
Milestones come in so many forms and being a part of Nicole and Andy’s lives through capturing these special times has been in one word – incredible! From their engagement session, to wedding, to posing as models for team training, to the latest anniversary/maternity session, Nicole and Andy have been a part of the Corner House Photography family from the start. I must say that their latest session, of course along with their wedding, was one of my favs! The excitement of welcoming their soon to be baby girl during their maternity session was absolutely beautiful to capture!
Shellsea & Lou
My sweethearts Shellsea and Lou tied the knot during their Downtown Orlando wedding at the iconic Lake Eola. I was over the moon to find out that their family had grown since their big day with the addition of Molly, an adorable, very hyper and sweet, Australian Shepherd. I must say that Molly totally stole the show, from running circles around mom and dad, to wanting to be a cuddle during photos!
Karla & Austin
Karla and Austin tied the knot in Jacksonville, Florida at their local church and after celebrated becoming Mr. and Mrs. during their ballroom reception. The two celebrated their one year anniversary with the newest addition to their family, Luna, an adorable beagle mix that definitely keeps them on their toes! The two (well, three!) loved being able to capture the celebration of their milestone one year, along with family portraits that they used for their holiday cards.
Amanda & Chris
Paper, the traditional one year anniversary gift can be given in so many ways! For Amanda and Chris, they decided to capture their one year milestone through a one year anniversary session, which they later printed images from the session out onto – you guessed it – paper! I love how thoughtful the session was in wanting to keep things traditional, but still finding a modern twist. One of my favorite ‘props’ that they brought along, included their cake topper, which still tasted delicious from their wedding day!
