Cross Creek Ranch Wedding

Allison and Chris tied the knot in Dover, Florida at their Cross Creek Ranch wedding. The two envisioned a fairytale day filled with the love of their friends and family.

Serving Up a Little Love

During their engagement session at Leu Gardens in Winter Park, Florida, I found out that the two had actually met at work in Downtown Disney. Allison a server, and Chris a bartender, would have quick chitchat whenever she had to swing by to pick up a drink for her customers. During Allison’s MOH’s toast, we also found out that Allison’s manager would always exclaim how Allison would go above and beyond in helping get everyone’s drinks, but secretly it was so she could have a few more minutes everyday with Chris. Hanging out with mutual friends and time together at work soon led to an official first date, and they have never been apart since!

All Aboard for a Fairytale Proposal

Chris explained that he realized he had found his “person” and when you find “your person” you better not let them go! Planning out a fairytale proposal, he enlisted his friend Alfie to put the idea of dining at The Grand Floridian in Allison’s head, which led to dinner plans for a future upcoming date night.

Soon that day came and after an amazing dinner at The Grand Floridian, they headed over towards the dock to watch the fireworks by the water. As they walked towards beautiful yachts, Allison noticed that Grand 1 Yacht was lit up with twinkling lights. Thinking a private event was taking place, Allison didn’t want to interrupt and began to turn around when Chris asked if they could go just a little closer to see the beautiful yacht. Walking out onto the dock, the boat captain approached Allison and Chris, and asked if they would like to go on a ride since their event was just cancelled – seriously what luck! Completely over the moon at the chance to view the fireworks from the yacht, the two obliged with joy for the opportunity.

Boarding the boat, they headed to the front where they settled in to watch the show. Around 8:59 PM, the two heard a voice from behind asking what time the fireworks would be starting. Completely shocked, Allison turned around to see her mom and dad! Turning back to Chris, she found him on one knee right at 9 PM when the fireworks began. Asking for her hand in marriage, Allison of course said, “yes!”

Their fairytale proposal felt like a dream, and so did their wedding day at Cross Creek Ranch in Dover, Florida.

Arriving a bit early, we were greeted by the biggest smile from our bride Allison. Grabbing her ‘details,’ we headed over to the bridal suite to capture them while Allison and her girls and guys wrapped up hair and makeup. Special moments with our bride included her niece looking up at her wedding dress, adorable plaid shirt shots on the bed, and of course a bridesmaid and bridesmen reveal!

While wrapping up with Allison, the rest of the team headed over to Chris to capture him and his guys before we were off to prepare for their ceremony!

Taking place under a grandiose oak tree, the two shared vows of forever, along with thanking their family and friends for coming to support them on their big day. With a first kiss shared, they sealed their love for eternity.

Formal portraits soon followed once guests headed to cocktail hour. Of course, newlywed portraits (my fav time!) came shortly after as we ventured to the front entrance of the venue. Between large panoramic images against the backdrop of their venue to intimate closer perspectives, the two warmed our souls as you could feel the love they shared – especially after realizing they were officially Mr. and Mrs.!

With time winding down, we departed to the reception to prepare for our bridal party’s reception entrance. Choreographed dancing by each pair made for a silly time as everyone entered, along with a cute little pickup of our bride by our groom as they entered too! A first dance, followed by toasts, followed by dining and more formal dances, opened the night for a blast of a time. A sparkler send off ended our sweethearts’ night as they said goodbye.
