Orlando Jewish Wedding
Molly and Matthew tied the knot during their Jewish wedding at the Courtyard at Lake Lucerne in downtown Orlando, Florida. A historic venue that has been around for some years was the perfect backdrop to their traditional wedding that incorporated beautiful aspects of a Jewish heritage, including the circling of seven times and breaking of a wine glass.
A dating app, where it all began…
Jswipe, an online Jewish dating app, was where Molly and Matthew first connected. After chatting online for sometime, the two connected offline in-person during their first date at Disney Springs. A sushi dinner and great conversation, led to many more dates and the two finding love. For Molly, she fell in love with Matt’s heart, while for Matt, he felling love with molly’s selflessness. Realizing that they were meant to be, Matt proposed to Molly last year in July while on holiday in the big apple.
Wedding Day at The Courtyard at Lake Lucerne
Flash forward to their wedding day, the two envisions a beautiful and classy day filled with those that they love most. As Molly explains, the two envisioned a “culturally enlightening ceremony” that incorporated their faith and love.
Arriving a bit early, we were excited to find Molly and her girls wrapping up makeup and hair. With everything ahead of schedule, we captured Molly’s details, robe shots, and while the girls were changing into their dresses, headed down to greet our groom who had just arrived. Right off the bat, I could tell how nervous Matt was, paralleled with his excitement for his first look with Molly. The wine cellar at the Courtyard at Lake Lucerne made for a hip, moody backdrop for the guys getting ready. After capturing Molly getting into her dress, we set Matt up for his first look and brought our beautiful bride down to see him. An emotional moment, the tears were definitely watering in Matt’s eyes as the two finally got to see one another. Their first look was followed by a few bridal party shots inside (a last minute add in that we thought would be fun!), and of course a few Jewish traditions. Heading back downstairs to the wine cellar, both Matt’s mom and Molly’s mom broke a piece of crockery, specifically a plate, signifying going into the future as two families. Additionally, a ketubah singing took place with our couple’s Rabbi, which is an official Jewish marriage license.
My couple’s traditional Jewish ceremony took place next to the gazebo in the courtyard, followed by formal portraits in the garden next-door. After formals, we circled back to the main courtyard, where the two exchanged rings and shared personal vows with one another. After dinner, we headed back out for dancing, along with some delicious soft serve at the ice cream truck, Krysty’s Cones. Wishing our sweethearts farewell during their sparkler send off, we were sad to see the night end!
Congratulations Molly and Matthew on officially becoming Mr. and Mrs.!
