Catalina and Alex tied the knot during their Kraft Azalea wedding in Winter Park, Florida. Envisioning a small, romantic outdoor wedding, the two traveled from California to Florida to say I do.

From the East Coast to the West Coast and Back Again

Having met four years ago in Orlando, Florida, Catalina and Alex never would have expected for their dating journey and forever journey to all begin in Orlando as well. Falling in love with everything about one another, from how each other brings laughter into their life, to the value they put forth everyday in their relationship, they knew their was something special between them. During a trip to Cartagena, Columbia, Alex popped the question and Catalina said, “yes!” It was Catalina’s first time back to Columbia since she came to the United States at eight years old and Alex’s first time ever. Truly a special place to Catalina, it was the perfect time for Alex to propose.

Wedding Day at Kraft Azalea

Having planned everything from afar, Catalina’s organization skills were absolutely incredible. The two picked an amazing team of vendors that brought the romantic and intimate vibe they wanted to fruition. Meeting Catalina and Alex for the first time on their wedding day, I was excited to put two beautiful faces to our many emails and calls. Starting our day off at the Air B&B Catalina booked for her getting ready time, we captured final details of makeup and of course putting on her dress, bridal portraits, and some beautiful portraits with her mom.

Once getting ready was complete, we headed off for Kraft Azalea where Catalina and Alex would be tying the knot. Situated in Winter Park, the stunning park features gigantic cypress trees an a beautiful stone column backdrop for weddings. Meeting up with Alex first, we captured his brother helping him put on his suit, and a few silly shots of them as well. Afterwards, lining up everyone and helping direct guests to the column arch bench, we began the ceremony. Catalina looked absolutely stunning as she walked down the long paved sidewalk to the columns. Turning around to see her, Alex lit up with the biggest smile. With their close friend officiating, the two confirmed their vows and shared a first kiss to seal the deal.

Luma on Park Wedding Reception

Formal portraits followed at the columns, along with tons of newlywed portraits throughout the park. Heading over to Luma on Park after wrapping up at Kraft Azalea, Catalina and Alex were welcomed by awaiting friends and family in the downstairs cellar for their reception to begin. Before heading out for the night, we captured their cake cutting, a few fun table shots, and a few intimate portraits on the steps leading to the cellar.
