Interlachen Country Club Wedding
Brittany and Matthew tied the knot during their Interlachen Country Club wedding ceremony and afterwards partied the night away during their Winter Park Farmer’s Market wedding reception. Big time lovers of all things golf, the two were so excited to be able to say “I do” next to the green and enjoy time with family and friends during their reception.
From small talk to a relationship…
Step back to January 20th of 2011 when Brittany and Matthew first met. The two were attending a friend’s birthday party and were instantly attracted to one another as soon as they saw each other. Small talk led to exchanging numbers, a friendship, and eight months later having their first official date zip lining at the Brevard Zoo followed by an evening at Cocoa Beach.
Falling in love Matthew’s patience, Brittany knew he was the one for her through they how persistent, caring, and a little bit of a jokester that he is. For Matthew, it is Brittany’s determination, smarts, and her sense of humor that he falls in love with more and more each day. Oh, and of course, as Matthew had to add in, Brittany “oh and she does my taxes. I hate taxes.” I mean, don’t we all – haha!
A Leu Gardens Proposal
Planning out his proposal to Brittany for an upcoming Saturday, he had to switch gears to a backup plan when the weather had a different idea in store for his outdoor proposal. Taking Brittany out to lunch on Sunday at a local dim sum spot, the two enjoyed a meal together before setting off to Leu Gardens. Luckily the rain had subsided from the prior day, so it was the perfect weather! Wandering down the many paths through the garden, Matthew finally found the perfect spot to propose, which was a white area just off one of the side paths.
Asking Brittany to take a photo, Matthew set up his camera to take a time lapse sot hat he could record his proposal to her. As the camera clicked away, Matthew headed back to Brittany’s spot and as she thought they were about to take a picture together, he got down on one knee and proposed. Brittany definitely didn’t expect the proposal, as it was Mother’s Day (remember Matthew had originally planned for the day before), which made it inadvertently that much more special as she truly was not expecting it. Matthew lovingly joked that, “in hindsight, I probably should have waited until the following weekend, but in reality, I set future Matt up for success since Mother’s Day will always remind me of when I proposed. Basically, I can’t forget it now since its tied closely to a holiday.” Um, score on remembering important dates!
Wedding Day at the Interlachen Country Club
Well another important date came as well, their big day! Timeline wise, while Matthew would be meeting us at the venue, Brittany and her girls were getting ready at the most gorgeous rental home in Winter Park. Arriving first to Brittany, we were excited to start off with capturing her details before jumping into a few fun group shots with everyone who came to get ready with her. Of course, we also took a few special portraits of Brittany’s MOH helping her zip up her dress, and family portraits with her two sisters. While I loved all of the beautiful moments, one of my favs from the day definitely was just capturing Brittany solo in her stunning wedding gown taking in the moment.
Heading over to Matthew, we were excited to find him and his best man ready to go for photos. After suiting up, the guys were hidden away as guests continued to arrive and were seated at the ceremony location overlooking the green.
Interlachen Country Club Wedding Ceremony
Matthew’s smile truly lit up when seeing Brittany walk down the aisle. You could feel the aura of the two, radiating with love and excitement to tie the knot. After sharing sentimental vows and a first kiss to seal the deal, the two were officially Mr. and Mrs.!
As guests headed over to the Winter Park Farmers Market for Brittany and Matthew’s wedding reception, family stayed put for formal portraits. After capturing formals with our couple’s family and bridal party, we headed off on an adventure through the golf course in search of the iconic brick bridge and some pretty killer light that dappled though the trees. Our newlyweds truly felt like models on the green!
Before heading over to the Winter Park Farmers Market for the reception, we captured some pretty stunning newlywed portraits in front of the vintage car that the two had for transportation between venues. Another car shot came later in the night as the sun began to set, and has to be one of my favorite shots from the day!
Winter Park Farmers Market Wedding Reception
Right before reception entrances began, we brought out our bridal party one more time and utilized the backdrop of the Winter Park Farmers Market building. It was nice to combine both of the venues into their formal portraits, along with the history of where the railway cars would pull up when the Winter Park Farmers Market was an actual working railway station.
Reception entrances were followed by formal dances and toasts before dancing soon ensued, along with an led balloon send off. Wishing our sweethearts an amazing life together!
