Florida Fall Engagement
Driving down from Georgia, I was so excited to finally be able to meet Rebecca and Sean in person for their Florida Fall inspired engagement session. Soon to be tying the knot at beautiful Club Lake Plantation in Apopka, Florida, they are excited to be heading back down here again for their wedding day!
From Online to In-Person
Having met online back in June of 2016, the two spent some time messaging one another back and forth before meeting in person. Jokingly true crime lover Rebecca wanted to make sure that they had developed enough of an online relationship to know he wasn’t going to “murder her” before diving into an in-person date. Well of course Sean was by no mean a crazy serial killer, he was just a sweet guy looking for love. Meeting up at The Fours, a local bar in Quincy, MA, the two chatted well into the night about how they force their future and wanting to grow individually as well as building a strong relationship. From that night on, the two spent the rest of their summer traveling with each other, including Sean flying to South Carolina to meet all of Rebecca’s family – and just two weeks after they first met! It was clear as day though from that one fateful first date that they knew they had found ‘the one!’
Falling in love with each other came easily, as both Rebecca and Sean share similar goals in life. As Rebecca explains, “we both wanted to be more educated, live a prosperous life, and perform well in our jobs to move up the ladder. We love our ambition, desire, and motivation to never settle and always work harder to get to the next step, but at the same time be completely satisfied with what we have.” Sean dove deeper in explaining that “we love how much fun we always have with one another, whether we are exploring a new area, building a fence from scratch, or doing nothing at all. We always have a smile on our cats when we are together or working towards a common goal.”
The Next Chapter in Their Lives
While on their first date they may have discussed marriage in a more general sense of what they wanted and where they foresee their lives going, they didn’t realize it then but they were inadvertently talking about each other! Offered a job in Georgia, which of course meant relocating, the two had a heightened sense of where/when the next step would be in their lives together.
Little did Rebecca know, Sean had already begun planning his proposal to take place the night before they headed out for a family vacation. Having made reservations, he took Rebecca to a restaurant a few towns over that was known for being more on the five star level. The two had been there once before, and Rebecca had begged to go back for sometime, so was completely over the moon when Sean surprised her that that was where they were going!
An incredible dinner was followed by an incredible dessert. Walking out with a silver tray, Rebecca was a little confused since they hadn’t actually ordered dessert. At that same moment, the waiter squeezed Sean’s shoulder and whispered “good luck,” which is when it all hit Rebecca – Sean was about to propose. The proposal feels like a blur looking back, but the feelings can still be felt of how much joy, love, and excitement was shared in that in minute of saying “yes” to forever together.
To top it off – Sean had designed a custom ring with heirloom stones from Rebecca’s great grandmother’s ring!
Looking forward to capturing Rebecca and Sean tie the knot next October at beautiful Club Lake Plantation!
