Ribault Club Wedding
Ansley and Tony tied the knot during their Ribault Club wedding in Jacksonville, Florida. Imagining an elegant day at the historic venue, their vision came to fruition through their hand selected vendors and beauty in their attention to detail.
My sweethearts story began back in high school when the two met during Ms. Adkins English class, however it wasn’t until after graduation, moving out of state, and then moving back home to Jax that they finally connected during a mutual friend’s gathering. Asking Ansley out on a date, the two of been inseparable ever since August 23rd of 2015.
Falling in love with one another, Tony knew he had found his girl and during a getaway vacation to Asheville, North Carolina, Tony popped the question at the historic Biltmore Estate. Of course, Ansley said, “yes!” and the two began planning out their special day.
Wedding Day at the Ribault Club
Another historic venue, The Ribault Club, was established in 1928 on beautiful Fort George Island. Tucked away at the very back of the island, the journey to the venue is just as beautiful as it is with mossy tree canopies lining the road.
Arriving a bit early, we were excited to greet our bride Ansley who was wrapping up hair and makeup. While our guys were finishing setting up a killer champagne seating chart wall, we captured our bride and her girls in their adorable robes, bridal portraits of Ansley, and headed outside for bride’s party portraits as well. Once our groom’s party was ready (and that killer champagne seating chart wall complete), we captured their getting ready as well, which was filled with a few hilarious moments by our best man.
After also capturing our groom’s party portraits, we prepped Tony for a first look with Ansley. Walking up to Tony, Ansley looked so spectacular and both were glowing with excitement to see one another. Turning to see Ansley for the first time, emotion overwhelmed Tony as the tears began to flow. Taking the moment in, the two truly reveled in being in one another’s arms.
With time to spare, we brought our bride’s party back out and our groom’s party for group portraits before heading off to prepare for the procession.
Ribault Club Wedding Ceremony
Outside on the great lawn underneath gorgeous oak trees, guests began to be seated in preparation for seeing our couple. Married by Ansley’s father, the two partook in a cord tying ceremony, followed by the exchanging of rings and of course a first kiss, they were officially Mr. and Mrs.!
Ribault Club Wedding Reception
After the ceremony, we headed around to the beach for a spectacular foggy landscape shot. I just love the grey tones in the backdrop, which really make our couple pop against the grassy shoreline. A few other fun spots included the killer shots (literally!) in front of The Sangria Truck, champagne seating chart wall, and of course their ballroom.
The night opened with formal dances outside under the tented dance floor (by the way how cool are the Mr and Mrs signs!!!), toasts in the dining hall, and tons of dancing back outside before closing with a lantern lined aisle send off. Wishing my sweethearts an amazing honeymoon in Positano, Italy!
