Casa Feliz Wedding
Kyle and Kenny tied the knot during their Casa Feliz wedding in Winter Park, Florida. Envisioning an elegant day filled with fun, the two celebrated with their friends, family, and puppy Bella!
Having met through a mutual friend’s housewarming party in May of 2008, Kyle was instantly smitten with Kenny, but wouldn’t admit it at first. Chatting up a conversation, the two realized that they both resided int ehh are apartment complex and had a ton in common. Fast forward a few months, the two connected at a deeper level as they began hanging out more and more until 11 years later finally saying, “I do!”
I must say (and so did their guests!) it was about time these two finally tied the knot! Walking into Casa Feliz on their wedding day felt incredible to be able to capture such a special moment. Arriving a bit early, Kyle greeted us quickly before heading out to the barber, with Kenny following suit after; both of course ensuring not to see one another in passing. While gone, we captured our grooms’ details, and once Kyle arrive back brought him out for formal portraits with his party and the big moment – a first look with Kenny.
Jumping into his suit, Kenny came out to see Kyle for the first time. Holding back the tears, Kyle and Kenny embraced one another during their first look together. Truly a magical moment, it was a great official start to their wedding day.
With the ceremony and reception spaces at their venue being finished up to prepare for guests, we decided to stay at the stunning fountain just across the street for newlywed portraits. I loved the dynamic range of poses we did, that of course included a few silly shots too.
As guests began to arrive, we hid our couple back inside. The ceremony is such an emotional moment during a wedding day, especially when a loved one may only be with us in spirit. As a symbolic gesture of gratitude and love for those who have passed in Kenny and Kyle’s lives, the two placed memorial pictures out in the first row of chairs. Another special attribute to their ceremony included our couple’s pup Bella who walked down the aisle with them as they greeted one another in the middle. This special coming together and walking down together symbolized the joining of their union.
After “I dos” were shared and of course a first kiss to seal the deal, the two headed off down the aisle hand in hand as Mr. and Mr.!
Rotating chairs and the memorial table to their reception space, we made room for formal portraits back at their ceremony location. Family and bridal party portraits went so smoothly, along with additional newlywed portraits, that our couple had time to join in on cocktail hour.
Kenny and Kyle’s reception entrance took place inside the historic venue, while dining took place outside. Shout out to Kyle’s Maid of Honor for grabbing a surprise Taco Bell dinner as a tribute to part of how the two met (more on that in their engagement love story). Of course dancing also filled the night, before we parted ways with our newlyweds and gave hugs goodbye.
Wishing Kyle and Kenny an amazing life together filled everyday with the love they felt on their wedding day!
