Katie and Cody met me out at a local state park for their gorgeous Summer engagement. Between the cool breeze from approaching sun showers, gorgeous morning light, and such a sweet couple, it made for an incredible session!
Having met online in November of 2017, the two took things offline about a month later when they met in downtown St. Augustine for dinner. Neither one of them looking for love at the time, they both realized quickly that they had found something special. Deleting their dating apps and officially starting to date in January of 2018, the two started on their journey of forever together.
Falling in love with how Cody wholeheartedly supports her, Katie explained that between leaving her job to change careers, starting a business, and so many other new adventures, Cody has been her rock through it all. As she explains, Cody “has always been my biggest fan and the person I know I can lean on.” For Cody, it is Katie’s kind heart that he fell in love with. Putting their relationship, friendships, and family first, she selfless cares about others needs. Her kindness is both sweet and caring.
Cody’s proposal to Katie is truly what marriage is all about. During their first date, he had asked her about her dream proposal and vividly remembered it later on to recreate. One night after work, Katie arrived home and Cody mentioned that they should clean out the fridge and pantry. Opening the fridge, Katie turned around back to Cody to find him down on one knee proposing. Her answer to his question on their first date, as you may have guessed, was that the proposal “would be in the kitchen on a random night; because that’s what marriage is, every day love and every day things.” It was truly perfect.
Looking forward to capturing Katie and Cody tie the knot this coming March at the beautiful Tuscawilla Country Club in Winter Springs, Florida!
