Meghan & Shawn's Sunken Gardens Wedding

Meghan and Shawn tied the knot during their Sunken Gardens wedding in St Petersburg, Florida. Planning a “classy garden wedding,” the two truly brought their vision together to create an epic day!

Starting off as colleagues at the Tampa Aquarium, it wasn’t long before they realized their connection. Total opposites, but in the best way possible, Meghan explained that Shawn grounds her while Shawn loves how she can make him laugh. Proposing to Meghan at The Getaway in St Pete, it was the perfect location as it was true to the two of them of where they love to spend their time together.

Fast forward to their wedding day, it was such a joy to be a part of capturing every beautiful moment. Arriving a bit early to Meghan’s getting ready Air BnB, I started off with her details before we dove into putting on her dress. I must say that I just adore her bridal robe, a special extra for the day.

Flowing through our girls getting ready pretty quickly, I headed off to meet up with Shawn at Sunken Gardens, and his groom’s party, for their getting ready as well. It wasn’t long before Meghan and her girls also arrived, which was perfect timing for their first look.

Finding a little hidden gem of a garden path where no other guests could cross paths, I set Shawn up for Meghan to walk up to him. Turning around to see his fiancé, a smile and excitement immediately immersed. After capturing a few pre-newlywed portraits, we followed with formal portraits of both the bridal party and family. By knocking out the majority of all formals beforehand, our couple had extra time with their guests.

Taking place on the main lawn, their ceremony was perfection as the sun set upon them. After sharing personal vows and a first kiss, the knot was tied and their recession began. Making our way to the beautiful bamboo shoots near the main entrance, we captured a few more newlywed portraits before our couple headed off to share time with their family and friends.

Reception entrances were followed by a beautiful first dance, toasts, and tons of fun dancing throughout the night!
