Christina and Chris tied the knot during their Cypress Grove Estate House wedding. Ironically enough our team was lucky enough to capture two beautiful weddings at this venue during the same weekend!
My sweethearts love story began back in 2011 when the two met at their place of work. While they had an immediate connection, it wasn’t until 2015 they they became more than acquaintances after reconnecting in downtown Orlando. Not long after seeing one another, Chris reached out to Christina to invite her on an official first date. They became inseparable from that day one, and have had so many beautiful moments in their lives, from moving in with one another after living long distance for a year, to welcoming their baby boy Camden.
A proposal to remember, Chris asked for Christina’s hand in marriage on a rooftop restaurant in Santorini Greece during a two week Mediterranean cruise.
Fast forward just over a year, the two officially said “I do” during their gorgeous wedding at the Cypress Grove Estate House. Arriving a bit early, we were excited to find hair and makeup wrapping up so that we could dive right in to details and robe shots. Afterwards, while the girls were changing, I headed off to greet our groom and his slightly rowdy groom’s party haha! Suiting up and placing boutonnieres’, we headed outside to capture Chris and his guys’ formal portraits.
Back inside our bride and her girls were ready for helping her put on the dress. Capturing a few special moments with mom and her girls, we headed outside afterwards to also capture Christina’s bride’s party portraits. By capturing both parties beforehand, it allowed for more newlywed time back after the ceremony during the official formal portrait hour.
Overlooking a gorgeous lake, the two said I do among friends and family. One of my favorite moments during my sweethearts’ ceremony was when their son Camden lost his shoe during the procession. He totally cracked me up by his reaction to the Cinderella moment – such a Prince Charming!
After vows were shared and “I do’s” said, we headed inside for family formal portraits due to a light rain shower. Clearing up just in time, we headed back outside for formal portraits with the bridal party and newlyweds. I must say that of course I am biased when it comes to my favorite time during a wedding, as newlywed portraits are truly it! Creating a bit of a mock sunset with a filtered off camera light in the background, the glowy sunset you see isn’t actually real, but it sure looks like it and truly helped with the overcast weather.
Our reception opened with introductions, formal dances, toasts, a special song that our bride sang to our groom with the help of her father on the guitar, and of course a ton of fun dancing! Wishing our sweethearts a beautiful life together!
