There are few things more magical than a sunset wedding on the beach, and Haley and Callie’s celebration at Honeymoon Island State Park was pure enchantment. As the vivid colors of the setting sun painted the sky, these two beautiful souls said “I do” with the gentle waves as their witness. The day was nothing short of spectacular, with the ocean’s beauty surrounding every moment—from the heartfelt ceremony to the reception, where guests enjoyed breathtaking views of the sunset. It was a day where love and nature harmonized in perfect, radiant color.
The Proposal
Haley asked Callie to book a trip to a country with a beach for her 30th birthday and to surprise her so she wouldn’t know where they were going. Callie booked a trip to Riviera Maya in Mexico and thought she’d pulled off the ultimate surprise. Haley had secretly found out where we were going working with Callie’s mom behind the scenes and set up the most romantic surprise proposal on the beach in Puerto Morales with a local photographer. She proposed on her 30th birthday, July 1, 2021.
Wedding Day Vision
The wedding theme is elegant bohemian. We are picturing an elegant winter beach wedding, colors are different shades of dusty blues, pops of silver, white, and like soft eucalyptus green. Suits will be dark dusty blue and bridesmaid dresses will be light dusty/Slate blue. People will be barefoot on the beach. The arbor is a wooden circle with white and green flowers draping down. We’re doing a naked cake. We expect about 75 people to be there. We want it to be low maintenance and for everyone just to have fun- we want it to reflect us as a couple.
