The Proposal
Miguel told Rachael he was taking her to brunch at Taverna Coastal and then to a museum. Instead, after brunch, the waiter handed Rachael an envelope. Inside was a little poem/clue that kicked off a scavenger hunt to locations around St. Pete that held special memories in their relationship. The last stop on the scavenger hunt was 3 Daughters, where Miguel went inside to get drinks then came out with their dog, Sperry, who had a bandanna on that said “Will you marry me?” After she said yes, their friends and family were gathered inside 3 Daughters to celebrate with them.
Wedding Day Vision
Our wedding will be incorporating a lot of connections to St. Pete (signs at each table for various places around St. Pete that hold memories for us – ex: 3 Daughters, where we got engaged). We may incorporate some pelican details as well along that theme.
The reception is in the Flight One Gallery of the St. Petersburg Museum of History, so there is a large replica of a historical airplane hanging from the ceiling. We may incorporate that into the theme as well.
We have not selected the exact shades, but colors will be along an organic coastal/sea glass color theme — an earthy/dusky green and mid/dark blue tone, likely offset with some lighter white/tan/pink accents. Florals will likely incorporate eucalyptus.
