We met online in December 2019. We messaged and texted back and forth for about 3 weeks before Michael finally worked up the nerve to finally meet in person. But I knew from the beginning that the relationship would be something really special. I had a gut feeling, without even meeting him, that this was a very real thing between us. When we finally got to meet, we had a couple of drinks together at Cob & Pen (a local bar/restaurant in Lakeland). As soon as we sat down and started talking it felt like we’d known each other for years—like somehow our souls recognized one another.
