Veronica and Andrew tied the knot during their Amelia Island Club wedding in Amelia Island, Florida. A beautiful sunny day, their intimate wedding was both vibrant and gorgeous!
How They Met
We both started work at NAVAIR in 2015 after just graduating from our respective universities. During new hire training we sat near each other and didn’t talk for quite a while. As the small group of new employees became more familiar with each other and began to socialize outside of work, we began to grow closer. The rest is history.
What They Love Most
I love the way Veronica embraces me when we see each other days apart or a long day at work. Our shared love for dogs and cats brings us closer at every wet-nosed greeting. She’s a goofball when we’re alone and a proper lady when we’re with others. We challenge each other with philosophical, cultural, and practical questions and she doesn’t ever let me forget that she is always right. Overall she makes me happy no matter what the day brings and I love her with all my heart.
Andrew and I are so alike and just really completely understand each other. I knew he was the one the first time he met my kitten (only pet at the time) and the affection he showed towards this tiny animal. Since then we’ve adopted two dogs and our love for animals and each other continues to grow. Andrew always listens to me and manages to solve all of my problems. He supports me completely in everything I do and I couldn’t ask for a better partner.
The Proposal
Let me start by saying Andrew and I are huge Disney fans. We’ve been Passholders since we started dating in 2016. On the morning of our 3rd anniversary (a Wednesday) Andrew told me I needed to leave work early and take the next day off because we were going to Disney. We are both very committed to our careers and do not usually take time off like this, so I knew it was a big deal. Flash forward to arriving in Orlando, we had dinner reservations at the Contemporary Resort just outside of Magic Kingdom. After a fantastic dinner, we went outside on the balcony to watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks. When the fireworks ended, Andrew asked a passerby to take our photo with the castle in the background. After posing for a picture, Andrew turned to me, got down on one knee, and asked me to marry him.
