Bilmar Beach Resort Wedding
Teresa and Troy tied the knot during their Bilmar Beach Resort wedding in Treasure Island, Florida. A special place for the two, Troy proposed to Teresa on June 4th back in 2016 at the very same location.
Under the Sea…
First laying eyes on one another at Discovery Cove back in 2006, the two started off as co-workers, and three years later began dating when sparks flew. Realizing their instant connection through bonding over their mutual love of photography and food, the two knew that they had found a forever in one another.
Wedding Day at Bilmar Beach Resort
Fast forward to their big day back at the Bilmar, we arrived a bit early to greet our bride and her party wrapping up with hair and makeup. I just loved the retro vibe in Teresa’s penthouse suite at the Bilmar, which was a perfect backdrop to our bride getting ready. Incorporating our couple’s reception decor, we found a few extra shells to help showcase Teresa’s jewelry and details. A neat fact about the shells, they were all picked up along Teresa and Troy’s adventures to different beaches – love the personal touch!
Troy was also getting ready in the same building, but just a few floors down, where we grabbed shots of him suiting up with his groom’s party. Once ready to roll, we headed off to the atrium area of the hotel back in the main building for our couple’s first look and formal portraits with their bridal party.
The excitement filled the air as Troy turned to Teresa when she tapped him on the shoulder. A beautiful moment between the two, we enjoyed capturing a few newlywed portraits before bringing in the bridal party. Beachside, guests were already arriving and began to be seated for the wedding procession to begin.
Bilmar Beach Resort Wedding Ceremony & Reception
Absolutely glowing, Teresa walked down the aisle to Troy as guests smiled upon them. Vows, “I dos,” and the exchanging of rings were followed by a first kiss to seal the deal. Formal portraits with family took place beachside as well, along with additional newlywed portraits at sunset. A softer pastel yellow sunset made for some gorgeous off camera shots to create a little drama, along with natural lighting for a more ethereal feel.
Dancing, dining, and a boardwalk send off goodbye ended the night as we said goodbye to our sweethearts! Wishing Teresa and Troy a beautiful life together!
