Desiree and Amber celebrated their upcoming nuptials with a gorgeous engagement session at Bok Tower Gardens in Lake Wales, Florida. From the Singing Tower to Pinewood Estate, it was a perfect day!
High school sweethearts, Desiree and Amber became friends in 7th grade, but it wasn’t until their junior year in high school when they became closer and started dating. From their high school days to challenges of nursing school, they have been inseparable every step of their journey as their love grew even deeper for one another.
Amber fell in love with Desiree’s demeanor, from the way she cares and loves others to her generosity. As Amber explains, “even after seven years, she takes time to still do the little things.” From helping Amber to helping their families, she is always willing to put others first – oh and of course Amber loves how sweet it is that Desiree is a sentimental crier as well! For Desiree, it is the way that Amber completes her which she fell in love with. Every time she sees Amber’s smile that truly lights up a room, it also lights up her world. Desiree explained, “we balance each other so perfectly and my life has never been better than it is with her in it.”
After seven years of dating, having graduated from school, and working on their careers, the next step was marriage. Deciding the right time to ask would be during their beach vacation, Desiree planned out her proposal of the speech she had in mind along with purchasing a ring for Amber. Waking up early one morning to take a walk along the beach, Desiree didn’t realize how incredibly emotional the proposal would be. One of her favorite characteristics that Amber loves most is that she is a “sentimental crier” and sure enough the tears began to flow as she started her proposal. Of course, Amber thought it was absolutely endearing and in the end all that matters as Desiree describes it, is that she “got the girl!” Amber of course said, “yes,” and of course a little more crying followed. Intimate, beautiful, and true emotion made for a magical and amazing moment!
