Katie & Matt's Club Lake Plantation Wedding

Katie and Matt tied the knot during their gorgeous Club Lake Plantation wedding in Apopka, Florida. Envisioning a casual and romantic day, the two celebrated with their family and friends as they became Mr. and Mrs.!

Having met on the dating app Bumble, the two never would have guessed that their forever was just a swipe away. Matt’s last line of his bio happened to say “all I really want in life is an outdoor kitchen,” which solidified Katie’s interest in swiping right. Meeting up at Crooked Can in Winter Garden, the two went from a first date to three years later living down the road from where they first met in person.

Falling in love with how unconditionally Matt loves Katie, he has truly been her rock through both the beautiful and difficult times. Fighting breast cancer, Matt never left her side, but more importantly ensured she never felt alone or scared. For Matt, he explained that he loves Katie’s loving attitude towards him, and how she always shows she cares. It is this deep, unconditional love that strengthened their relationship to bring them to their forever.

Proposing to Katie at home, she had just finished filling out a kitty cat adoption form, while laying in bed. Once finished, he asked her to marry him with a ring he had hid in the night stand. That very ring was his grandmother’s ring, who was also a breast cancer survivor. Of course, Katie said, “yes!”

Fast forward to their wedding day at Club Lake Plantation, the two were truly a joy to spend time with in capturing their milestone moment.

Arriving a bit early, we started off with Katie’s details, and shortly after our bride’s getting ready time from putting on the dress to bridal portraits. Capturing Matt and his groom’s party was also a blast, and I enjoyed using the backdrop of the Whiskey bar for their groom’s party portraits.

Incorporating a first look beforehand, the two had time to share a moment before the ceremony kicked off. Matt could not hold back the tears as he turned to Katie, seeing her for the first time – and also when she walked down the aisle.

Their ceremony was followed by a lively night filled with dancing, drinks, and a really a good time all around. Wishing Katie and Matt a beautiful life together!
