Cypress Grove Park Engagement
Lucknise and Terry met our team photographer Dawn at at beautiful Cypress Grove Park for their stunning engagement! I absolutely adore Lucknise’s floral print dress against the backdrop of the garden a variety of flowers and foliage on the estate.
How They Met
Terry and I met in March 2015 at school. I was making my way to my car after class when he walked up to me asking me for directions. After giving him directions, we continued to talk for a little while before he asked me for my number. After texting each other for some time, we finally decided to meet up one day to go running at the park. We became best friends and didn’t start dating actually until December 28, 2015.
What They Love Most
Lucknise about Terry: What I love most about Terry is how I can be myself around him. Since the first day we met, It felt like I was talking to my best friend and almost 5 years later, it still feels like that everyday. I’m so thankful that God blessed me with such a wonderful man because he is so supportive, loving, and caring. I love that he understands me even when I don’t understand myself at times, and I love that he always reminds me that I am a light in a dark world.
Terry about Lucknise: What I love most about Lucknise is her unyielding spirit and her ability to see the light in every situation. The first day we met I fell in love with her honest and kind nature. She is my other half, she makes me a better and stronger person. She is the light of my life and my best dream come true cause when I think of a future with her I see my best friend to the end, a unyielding lover.
The Proposal
We went on a road trip at the end of June and beginning of July 2018. Before that time, I had never been outside of the state of Florida so I wanted to go big and go all the way to Vegas. We drove about 36 hours and it was one of the best experiences of our lives; the drive goes by fast when you’re in great company. Our last night in Vegas which was 7/5/2018, we were getting ready to go out when he told me to grab his wallet from under his pillow. I didn’t think anything of it at the time, and just reached my hand under the pillow to grab “his wallet” when my hand closed around the box. Needless to say, I was shocked! By the time, I turn back to look at him, he was on his knees asking me to marry him to which I screamed, yes!
