My ‘soon to be’s’ Keyleigh and Kyle kicked off their engagement year with an engagement session at Cypress Grove Estate House. Keyleigh envisioned large oaks and beautiful light, and where else better than Cypress Grove Park.
Our couple’s story begins back in 2014 after Keyleigh had graduated in 2014 with her nursing degree. With a huge success under her belt, she decided to celebrate by buying herself a graduation gift of a 2014 Honda Accord. As fate may have it, Kyle just so happened to have started working at the dealership and when her first oil change came up, which offered the opportunity for the two to meet. As Keyleigh reminisces, “I was working the night shift as a Labor and Delivery Nurse at the time and scheduled my oil change for the morning after one of my shifts. I was barely awake when I walked through the doors to see the most handsome man sitting behind the counter.”
Exchanging numbers, they met up for a date a few weeks later, which had a twist take place. On his way to the date, Kyle was hit by another car and called Keyleigh to let her know he was running late. Fortunately both Kyle and the other driver were okay, but Keyleigh met him out at the accident out of concern. His demeanor of patience and calmness with the driver who had just hit his car was incredible. Keyleigh immediately enamored by how Zen Kyle, started to fall in love with how genuine and patient he was. He has since become her calmness through any storm and always brings a smile and a laugh to her face.
Kyle fell in love with the connection between the two of them, which goes way beyond attraction even though he of course knows how beautiful she is. As Kyle explained, “I could stare at her all day and never get bored. Being with her feels like home.” Side note – is it just me, or are you also tearing up reading about their love for one another too?
Living in Maine at the time and planning on moving down to Florida together, Kyle proposed to Keyleigh before their final goodbye with friends at her work party. Dropping to one knee he pulled out the most magnificent, beautiful, stunning, and plastic $5.00 ring as a little joke to see if Keyleigh would accept. Of course, in his little joke, there was a ton of truth, and Keyleigh of course said “yes,” all while laughing the entire time. Immediately after though, Kyle brought her to his side and showed her the real ring, which he slipped on her finger. Quite the story I must say for Keyleigh’s party that night.
You might have noticed a fur-baby in my sweethearts’ engagement photos, that’s Avery! Avery is an adorable one-year-old Golden Retriever pup that settled down for just enough time to take pictures with his mom and dad. Keyleigh and Kyle knew right away when they first picked him up that he was the one for them. He was the largest of his litter and had the most energy. His zest for life was the perfect match and as Keyleigh and Kyle explain Avery’s love, “he brings so much joy to our lives. We never thought we could love a dog so much. He goes everywhere with us. We can’t imagine life without him.”
Looking forward to capturing these two tie the knot at the beautiful Harmony Gardens next year!
