Dali Museum Engagement
Lindsay and Nick love absolutely everything about St Pete from boating on the water to visiting downtown and the museums. In turn, we knew that the South Yacht Basin right by the Dali Museum would be the perfect spot to find all of their favs.
The Dali Museum is quite a special spot for Lindsay and Nick, as it was where they shared their first date. Meeting online at first, the two planned for an in-person date on June 29th back in 2013. From touring the museum together to enjoying a lunch downtown at the Northeast Tavern, Nick’s favorite go to place to eat, their day was filled with flowing conversation and a clear connection.
It didn’t take long for Lindsay to fall in love with Nick’s “all round good guy” personality from how much fun he is to be around to how he cares for his friends and family. As Lindsay explains, “he is easy to talk to and makes friends wherever he goes. I love that he is a go-getter; he is driven and reliable.” For Nick, Lindsay’s eyes locked him in in how they light up. He loves how Lindsay shares so many mutual interests in life from having fun out on their boat to what they want in life short-term and long-term.
Finding ‘the one’ doesn’t always come easy, but for Nick, he knew that Lindsay was it. However while Nick may have found the one, the timing just wasn’t always right to pop the question. As Nick explains, “it was tough because I bought the ring almost a month before I asked Lindsay to marry me. I thought about asking her at our annual Halloween party, but didn’t want to be in costume. Then we had a dog pass away so it just didn’t seem like the right time. I decided to ask her on the boat because that’s where we spend most of our time together and I felt most comfortable there.” Out on their boat during a windy day with weather that may not have been perfect, Nick asked Lindsay for her hand in marriage in what was a perfect moment. Of course Lindsay said “yes,” because she had found “the one” too.
Looking forward to our team capture these two tie the knot this September!
