Alyssa & Hunter’s Chambray Blue Outdoor Engagement

Chambray Blue Engagement

Alyssa and Hunter will be tying the knot this November at the beautiful Mission Inn!  What better way to celebrate their upcoming nuptials with the sweetest chambray blue outdoor engagement.  Of course pups Kate and Huck in tow, is made for the sweetest session.  We were even surprised by two sets of deer wandering around us through the woods!

How They Met

Having met online back in November of 2017, the two never would have guessed that swiping right would lead them down a path to love.  After speaking for just over three weeks online, the two both felt comfortable enough to meet up in person for their first date at a UCF football game.  Their connection felt unimaginable, simply put they were a perfect match.  As Alyssa reminisces, “there was no awkwardness, we both felt extremely conformable with each other and we knew early on that our relationship was something special we didn’t want to let go of.”

What They Love Most

Hunter fell in love with Alyssa’s kind heart.  As he explains, “she is beautiful inside and out… thinking of others before herself.  She has the upmost respect for her family and friends.”  For Alyssa, she truly feels like Hunter came into her life unexpectedly.  Praying to God, she asked for her future husband to have wisdom and to grow in his walk through life with her.  Truly, they both know that God led them to one another – there was no other direction or path to be taken, but the path to one another.

The Proposal

Trusting in God, Hunter knew that his path to finding Alyssa was just the start and knew that his proposal would be right around the corner.  When feeling the time was right in his heart, he planned the sweetest proposal.  After spending their Sunday morning at church, Hunter surprised Alyssa with re-routing them from their normal brunch spot afterwards to a new place.  Being a little vague on their plans, Alyssa was rather confused why they weren’t sticking with their Sunday ritual.  Walking towards the restaurant, the two came upon a white gazebo that shined bright in the sun.

Coming closer, Alyssa noticed flower petals, candles, and pictures of her and Hunter.  She was completely taken aback by the wondrous find, and quickly realized there was yet another piece to the decor – letters spelling out “will you marry me.”  Holding back her tears, or at least trying so, Alyssa realized one of the biggest moments of her life was about to happen.  Walking hand in hand up to the gazebo, when they arrived, Hunter proceeded to get down on on knee and officially asked for Alyssa’s hand in marriage.  Promising he would never stop trying to be the best man he could be and that he would never stop loving her, Alyssa knew that there was only one answer, and that answer was, “yes!”

Wedding Day Advice

With their wedding day just a few months away, the two reflected back on advice they would give other couples.  At first, they had planned a very large and extravagant wedding, but quickly realized that they had lost sight on why they were getting married in the first place.  Reevaluating their planning, the two decided to forego having a large wedding and instead opted for an intimate ceremony and reception with their closest family and friends.  Truly they both feel it was the best decision that they have made in their wedding planning journey.
