Ever After Farms Wedding
Brittany and Ricky tied the knot during their Ever After Farms wedding in Mims, Florida. With multiple location options, my couple picked the blueberry farm which happened to be in season. From a beautiful ceremony underneath a 50 year old oak to a rustic reception inside the barn, their day felt like perfection!
High School Sweethearts
Having met back in high school in 2012, the two became fast friends. As their friendship continued to grow over the next three years, it evolved to romance when Ricky asked Brittany out on their first official date in 2015. The two always knew that they had a connection and became absolutely inseparable ever since.
Having found his soulmate, Ricky planned out his proposal to Brittany to align with an adventure getaway weekend to Islamorada. Their vacation was filled with spending time together, enjoying lovely dinners out, and exploring the resort that they were staying at. Towards the end of their trip, Ricky proposed to Brittany while the two were walking along the beach at sunset, and of course Brittany said, “yes!”
Wedding Day at Ever After Farms
Jumping forward to their wedding day, we were so excited to be seeing our couple again since their engagement session. Arriving a bit early, we awaited the arrival of our couple to join us at the venue and decided to do a little exploring – and of course picking a few blueberries along the way! Once Brittany arrived, we started capturing her details, pajama top shots, and getting in the dress before taking our girls outside to capture our bride’s party portraits. During this time, the rest of Ricky’s groomsmen arrived and finished getting dressed. As soon as they were ready, we also brought our guys out for shots of helping Ricky put on his suit jacket and of course his group’s formal portraits too.
With guests arriving early, an unexpected surprise that never happens, we quickly hid our groom away. As our bridal party lined up and guests were seated, we were excited for our couple’s ceremony to begin. A twist to Brittany and Ricky’s procession as Brittany came down the aisle, or well just right before, was for Ricky to turn around while Brittany walked towards a barn door entrance leading to the aisle. Turning back before the doors were opened, Brittany was hidden so that Ricky could see at the beginning of the aisle verses walking towards it. Of course, as soon as he saw her, he had to hold back his tears realizing the moment had finally come!
Following our couple’s ceremony, we took formal portraits inside of family and a bridal party shot, along with additional bridal party and newlywed portraits outside. Since the sun hadn’t set quite yet, we decided to bring our couple back out later in the night during golden hour to capture the two among the blueberry bushels. Reception entrances included a sentimental dances and toasts, along with a blessing from the officiant.
Dining, followed by dancing, and fun events within the night such as the shoe game, napkin dancing game, and even Irish singing made for a blast of a reception. Our night ended with sending our sweethearts off via a sparkler send off and hugs goodbye!
