Haden and Charlie tied the knot at their home in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. The weather was perfect for the intimate outdoor beachside ceremony they had. After saying “I do,” the couple celebrated with a lovely dinner, a walk on the beach, and dancing with their closest friends and family.
The Proposal
The couple got engaged on a camping trip to Lake Alpine, CA. On their second or third day, Charlie suggested they rent a canoe, knowing that canoeing is one of Haden’s favorite activities from childhood. They paddled to a small beach to look for bear tracks. Charlie totally surprised Haden with a beautiful proposal. Afterwards, they went to the parking lot and called each of their parents, and had a drink at the lodge to celebrate. The next day, the newly engaged couple went to a small Irish mining town and stayed in a historic hotel for a night before heading back to Sacramento and calling other family and friends to share the news.
Wedding Day Vision
Haden and Charlie pictured their special day to be a small ceremony with immediate family and close friends. They wanted the vibe to be laid back, with an elegant cocktail hour and seated dinner, followed by karaoke, dancing and hanging out.
In terms of colors, bouquets were calla lilies and palm fronds. The wedding arch flowers and table arrangements were blue and green hydrangeas and white spray roses.
