Kathleen and John had a beautiful wedding at Highland Manor in Apopka, Florida. After the ceremony, they had a lively reception complete with wild dance moves and light sabers. What a fun way to celebrate the marriage of these two!
The Proposal
Ok. So. It was our 3 year anniversary and I (John, hi) had been planning on proposing for 2 months. I had spent that time finding a ring and planning it. I had a wonderful place picked for dinner (this was during Covid so it was pickup) and I had called ahead to make sure I would be able to a few days before. I had planned for us to spend the whole day together and then propose after dinner. I then found out the ring would not be available for pickup so that sucked, then when I called to place a pickup order they said they were too busy and were only doing dine in. So literally nothing went according to plan. I was going to hold off because I had nothing but a plucky attitude to ask with. We ended up laying in bed, talking and laughing, and I thought, this is kind of perfect. So I asked and she said yes (she also started crying, don’t know if it was good or bad) and then we picked a different restaurant and got food there. Overall, pretty wonderful day. The date was January 17, 2021.
