Meaghan and Brandon met me out Lake Louisa State Park with their adorable baby girl Avery Rose for their family engagement session. Bringing along their pup as well, and of course grandma to help wrangle their little one for a few mommy daddy portraits alone, our session was absolutely filled with love.
Back in July of 2013, my sweethearts met by chance during a grand opening of a new Bj’s Brewhouse and Restaurant in Jacksonville, Florida. At the time, Meaghan was a Regional Trainer and would attend every grand opening to help with training and checking in on the servers’ stations. Brandon, one of the new hires, was one of the servers Meaghan would check in on. From the moment they met, there was a clear attraction and Meaghan couldn’t help but blush every time they chatted. Working up the courage to give him her number and Brandon his, the two met up for dinner on July 24th.
Their attraction at first site, was quickly a connection as well, when they realized how much they had in common and how well their personalities fit during their first date. Keeping in contact while on the road, Meaghan and Brandon made sure that they would see one another whenever possible and in turn, their relationship continued to grow.
As their love grew deeper, Meaghan fell in love with Brandon’s personality – truly he gets along with absolutely everyone and is so incredibly motivational. Meaghan recalls how hard it was during her postpartum period after Avery and how Brandon kept her going by always lighting up her smile and warming her heart. He truly kept her positive through the whole experience. Brandon loves Meaghan’s ability to “take every chance and learn from it.” When facing obstacles, she never gives up and finds a way to make magic happen.
Three years after they began dating, Brandon knew that the time was right and wanted to propose to Meaghan. On December 22 of 2016, Brandon planned out a nice dinner at a restaurant Meaghan had wanted to visit that night. Before dining, he took her hand and led her to the nearby park to enjoy a walk at sunset. Looking at the beautiful sky, Brandon suggested they get a picture together. Turning to Brandon, she found him on one knee with ring in hand. Completely shocked, surprised, and over the moon – it was one of the best days of Meaghan’s life – and of course Brandon’s too! Meaghan said, “yes” and the two celebrated with the most amazing dinner!
Of course, one of the other best days of their lives was welcoming their little girl Avery Rose to the world. On July 5th of 2017, exactly one day before Meaghan’s birthday, Avery greeted her mommy and daddy. Her big brother, Tucker, their sweet black Labrador, has truly become Avery’s sidekick, always watching over her and giving her the biggest kisses.
Looking forward to our team capturing our sweet family this coming March!
