Caycee and Luke met us out at beautiful Lettuce Lake Park in Tampa, Florida. A gorgeous morning, we were in luck with rain showers holding off until the afternoon!
How They Met
We met in junior high in English class, we quickly became great friends. After high school we both went off to college in different states but reconnected a few years after thanks to Tinder and the rest is history!
What They Love Most
Caycee about Luke: I love the way Lucas jumps into every day to make me feel like we are a team. We always do laundry, clean and cook together. Nothing is one persons job.
Luke about Caycee: I love the fact that Caycee puts so much care into every aspect of life. Whether it is her job, our relationship, or friends and family she pours her heart into all that she does. She gives me the motivation to be the best person I can be each and everyday.
The Proposal
We got engaged September 24, 2019 at our favorite restaurant in Pennsylvania, the Summit Inn. Lucas made us reservations that morning as we sat on the couch watching the news, I said “I don’t know what you expect me to wear and I have to get my nails done.” So we went shopping and to the spa. That evening it was foggy and rainy, we ate dinner and then had a glass of wine on the veranda, Lucas took my wine and purse from me and said “I waited a long time to have you in my life and I can’t imagine life without you,” he got down on his knee “Caycee Dawn will you marry me?” And of course I said yes and gave him the biggest hug. We called our parents who met us at the bar in the Summit Inn and had celebratory drinks followed by a small party put on by our best friends.
