Longboat Resort Wedding – Longboat Key Club Wedding
Marah and Mike tied the knot during their Longboat Resort wedding in Longboat Key, Florida. Envisioning a classic and romantic theme, the two designed a day filled with gold accents, greenery, and a few rustic touches. Picking Longboat Key was easy, as it was the perfect destination city for their friends and family traveling throughout the US and even Antigua to be a part of their big day, along with being a city that is not very touristy or as busy as the other nearby beach front towns.
Franklin Pierce University – Where love began…
My sweethearts story began back at Franklin Pierce University in New Hampshire. Mike a senior, and Marah a sophomore at the time, had just transferred in during her Spring term. Over the next year after meeting Marah, Mike pursued a date with her as their friendship grew. From friendship, grew love, and a forever together when Mike proposed to Marah after an amazing day together in St Pete.
Wedding Day at The Resort at Longboat Key Club
Their wedding day felt like a dream from the moment we arrived. While hair and makeup was finishing up, we captured Marah’s details – of which included a killer pair or Louboutin heels. Once the girls were ready, a few robe shots were a must on the bed, before Marah got into her Ashley & Justin wedding gown. One of my favorite moments from Marah’s time of getting ready would have to be a few black and white shots that I captured of her backlit by the sun on the balcony.
After wrapping up with the girls, we headed over to The Resort at Longboat Key Club to meet Mike and his guys. I loved how dapper Mike looked with his white suit jacket. Buttoned up and ready to go, we hid our guys back in the ballroom as guests started to arrive.
Taking place on the great lawn, Marah and Mike’s ceremony included a few laughs from Mike’s brother and officiant, along with a sand pouring binding the two together. After a first kiss was shared, which sealed the deal, guests cheered with joy for Marah and Mike officially becoming Mr. and Mrs.
As the sun had still yet to set, we decided to opt for a banyan tree as the backdrop for formal portraits. Shaded and full of charm, it was the perfect tree for photos. With time to spare, we also brought Marah and Mike inside for a shot in their ballroom before reception entrances began.
Toasts, dining, and tons of dancing filled the night as we captured our couple celebrating with their loved ones. Wishing Marah and Mike a beautiful life together, filled with the same love they felt from the first moment they laid eyes on one another back in New Hampshire to the moment of seeing one another down the aisle for the first time on their wedding day!
