Mandy and Bradley’s wedding at Mead Botanical Garden was bursting with life, color, and meaning. With vibrant wildflowers and rich purple accents woven throughout their day, every detail felt as joyful and unique as their love story. The couple shared an intimate first look along a quiet, foliage-lined path, surrounded by the beauty of the gardens they hold dear. In fact, they were married just steps away from the Winter Park Garden Club—where they regularly volunteer—adding a deeply personal and sentimental touch to their ceremony. The celebration continued indoors, where the energy truly came alive. Their Jewish wedding traditions brought so much life to the reception, from the heartfelt stomping of the glass to the spirited hora, where guests lifted Mandy and Bradley high into the air on chairs amid dancing and cheers. It was a day full of meaning, love, and the kind of joy that only grows when rooted in something real.
The Proposal
In 2017, I hiked the entire Appalachian Trail and Mandy has started section hiking in bits and pieces. I knew I wanted to take her to my favorite section, Roan Mountain, which borders Tennessee and North Carolina and propose. So, I planned a three-day hiking trip up to Roan and when we reached the peak of the mountain, I told Mandy that I wanted to share all our adventures together and asked her to marry me. The date was May 9, it happened to be Mother’s Day.
Wedding Day Vision
Getting married out in Mead Garden under the oaks next to our volunteer area. The official color is purple, but we want the wedding to be very colorful, my bouquet will be flowers of every color with a wildflower vibe. Reception should be fun, neon lights, we have been calling the theme Disco Garden.
