Mead Gardens Engagement
Amanda and John met our team photographer Amanda out at beautiful Mead Gardens for their darling engagement session. While a rainy morning may have adjusted our time, the clouds parted ways for just long enough to capture a beautiful afternoon session!
How They Met
John and Amanda met through mutual friends while living in Houston, TX in August of 2017. Shortly after meeting, they went on their first date to get pizza at a local place, Jupiter Pizza and Waffle Co., on September 16, 2017. He lost his car after the date and she was late to the date. Despite the set backs, it worked out and they went on dates every weekend after and just never stopped dating. They’ve grown to love traveling the world together, traveling across the U.S. to watch baseball games at all the different MLB stadiums, and even went skydiving within their first month of dating.
What They Love Most
John about Amanda: What I love most about Amanda is loving and caring personality along with her sense of adventure.
Amanda about John: What I love most about John is his kind heart and ability to make me laugh in any situation. He is one of the kindest people I have met, and he pushed me to love those around me better. I saw when I started meeting his friends and family how much he invests in his relationships and those around him, and that made me fall even more in love with him. He also is one of the funniest people I know. Even on the worst of days he knows how to make me laugh. I’m thankful to be with somebody who helps me to find joy even through the hard times and is my biggest cheerleader in life.
The Proposal
While we were living in Houston, John got offered a job back in his home state of Florida. After 2.5 years of dating, it made the decision for Amanda to go with him or not very difficult. John took the job and asked Amanda to marry him before they left after a nice dinner in early October. They eloped on October 11, 2019 with just immediate family in Houston.
