The Acre Wedding
Jennifer and Kayla tied the knot during their wedding at The Acre in Orlando, Florida. Envisioning a more casual and hip vibe to their big day, The Acre was the perfect location.
Where their story began…
Having me in October of 2014 through mutual friends, Jennifer and Kayla had an instant connection that felt like they had known one another all along. Asking Jennifer out on an official first date a month later from when they met, Jennifer of course was ecstatic and the two have been inseparable since.
Proposing to Jennifer in Connecticut during a trip to visit her family, Kayla was over the moon to finally be able to call Jennifer her fiancé, and vice versa. Fast forward a few years later, the two not only were excited to yet again share a beautiful moment of their lives with Kayla’s family, but also Jennifer’s family during their big day at The Acre. An additional celebratory moment soon to arrive as well, will come in just a few weeks as they welcome their baby girl to the world!
Wedding Day at The Acre Orlando
Arriving a bit early to Jenn’s bridal suite, located on the second story of the main building, I was excited to see my childhood friend. Growing up with Jenn, it was definitely a bit emotional to see the beautiful little girl, who always has the best freckles in the world, becoming a mommy and marrying her best friend. Knowing Lauren, Sarah, and Vicki from childhood as well, I was also excited to meet Jennifer’s friend Marissa, who truly kept the comedy coming between her and Sarah during our time with Jenn getting ready. I just loved how incredibly supportive her girl tribe was in helping her get ready, and of course helping her enjoy the moment with a love and laughter.
Kayla arrived not long after with her girl tribe as well, her two older sisters, best friend, and adorable niece. Over the moon to be celebrating with Kayla, they helped her suit up and of course filled the room with love. Capturing Kayla display the picture of her grandmother that she wore in her suit pocket was also an emotional moment, that felt so beautiful with her grandmother’s picture being close to her heart.
The Acre Orlando Wedding Ceremony
Our sweethearts first look took place inside the vine covered white brick building that had perfect lighting. Used as the same backdrop for their ceremony as well, it was a beautiful spot for soon-to-be-newlywed portraits, and capturing all formal portraits of the bridal party beforehand as well.
Paul, Jenn’s brother in law, led the ceremony and officially pronounced Jenn and Kayla as Mrs. and Mrs. After the ceremony, formal portraits with the family followed and a few official newlywed portraits as well.
The Acre Orlando Wedding Reception
Reception entrances, followed by a duo father daughter first dance, toasts, and tons of dancing filled the night. A special surprise came way by an ice cream truck for guests to enjoy before our night closed with a sparkler send off.
