Phoenix and Dillon met us out at a beautiful local park with their little one Camden for a gorgeous family engagement session. I absolutely adore when our couples bring their little ones to our sessions, it makes for a fun mix of both couple and family shots!
My sweethearts story began back in 2018 when the two met through an online dating app. Both having common a common interest in CrossFit, Phoenix reached out to Dillion and the two decided to meet for a dinner a few days alter at a local treetop winery. With a great conversation flowing and the two finding more and more common interests that they shared, they ended up extending their date with an impromptu trip to Phoenix’s cousin’s CrossFit box where they each tried to impress one another. By the end of the date, as Phoenix explains, “we both know that this wasn’t the typical connection and immediately called our closest confidants to gush about how amazing the date was.”
Falling in love initially with how motivated Dillion’s desire is to better himself, Phoenix explained that as their love grew she also realized that Dillion’s was the “genuinely the sweetest person I’ve ever met.” With the arrival of their son, Phoenix has fallen in love with Dillion all over as she sees how incredible of a father he is to Camden – from his patience to unconditional love.
For Dillion, it was hard to describe just one thing he loved most about Phoenix, as she isn’t like anyone he had ever met before. As Dillion explains, Phoenix “loves me for who I am, and is patient with me when no else is. She cares more about others than she does herself, and she’s the hardest working woman I’ve ever met.” Oh and I couldn’t forget, he also happened to mention that she has a nice behind – Dillion you crack me up!
With the arrival of their son and growing into being parents, Phoenix and Dillion knew that they had found the one and with that solidified their love for each other in their hearts. Excited to purchase a ring for Phoenix, Dillion had originally planned to propose during a vacation in the mountains of North Carolina. With so much excitement though, he decided to move up his plans and proposed early on Christmas Day in their living room with their son. Nervously stumbling over his words, Phoenix doted that “it was the sweetest thing ever.”
