Amanda and Jose met me out in the heart of the historic district in downtown Winter Garden for their Springtime engagement. Filled with floral backdrops, pops of pink, lavender, and deep purple filled the scenery every where you looked!
My sweethearts met back in mid-August of 2013 when they both happened to be playing on a Disney co-ed softball team together. It wasn’t long before they realized they had a connection on and off the field, and had their very first date on September 29th.
Their love grew for one another and even more so with the arrival of their little boy. Amanda loves how bold Jose is and also how amazing of a father he is. For Jose, he loves how hard of a work Amanda is, along with her beautiful personality and being an amazing mother.
Having realized he found the love of his life, Jose planned out his proposal during their trip with Amanda’s parents to San Antonia, Texas where Jose’s family lived. Exploring the Alamo and Riverwalk, Jose took the group on an adventure, but Amanda could tell he just wasn’t quite himself – he seemed a little jumpy and nervous all day. Towards the end of their time at the Riverwalk, Jose’s family met up with them as well for dinner. Before leaving the Riverwalk, they decided to stop for family portraits of the group and couples. Before long, it was Jose, Amanda, and their son in front of the camera for their family portrait, which was when Jose pulled something out of his pocket. Clearly nervous, Jose actually dropped the box at first – literally a foot from the river! Picking it up quickly, he opened the box to reveal an engagement ring. Amanda was completely surprised and overjoyed as she said, “yes” with the biggest smile!
For Amanda and Jose, their best piece of advice for other couples would be to “keep it simple.” As Amanda explains, “Today is about celebrating with your friends and family.”
