Orlando World Center Marriott Wedding
Alanna and Troy tied the knot during their Orlando World Center Marriott wedding in Orlando, Florida. Envisioning a traditional Jewish ceremony outside on the green with an indoor reception ballroom, the hotel was the perfect venue for their special day.
A backstory…
Having met online back in June of 2014, Alanna and Troy took things offline when arranging to meet up at Starbucks for coffee and afterwards putt putt at a local mini-golf course. Completely drawn to one another, Troy asked Alanna out to dinner the next day for a second date before their first date was over. The two began their journey to forever together in March of 2019 when Alanna said “yes!” to Troy’s proposal during a getaway vacation in Denver, Colorado.
Wedding Day at the Orlando World Center Marriott
One year later, I was so excited to greet my sweethearts on their big day at the Orlando World Center Marriott. Arriving a bit early, Alanna and her girls were ahead of schedule with their hair and makeup being completed. It was perfect timing to capture details, a few fun dramatic hairspray shots, and of course my girls in their robes cheersing to our bride to be.
While our girls were changing into their dresses, we headed over to our groom and his party for their getting ready as well. I must say that I love black-tie affairs, so I was so excited to see our groom’s party in their formal attire. Troy took a little convincing though to skip out on his yeezy shoes for dress shoes (Alanna you can totally thank me later on this one haha), but soon he was suited up with the rest of his team. From cheersing with their specialty drinks to silly shots with the entire bachelor party group, it made for a lively start to the day.
Up on the 28th floor, Alanna was getting into her dress in the penthouse suite. I just loved the fine details on her wedding gown from the beaded straps to perfectly placed appliqué. Alanna’s mom helped her zip and button up before we brought in Alanna’s sister to help with final details, and of course her “COB” too, i.e. cousin of the bride. Last, but not least, we grabbed a few group shots of the girls all together in gorgeous room.
Heading downstairs to the first floor, we brought Troy along with is to prepare him for his first look with Alanna. Walking down the long corridor, you could feel the excitement building as Troy heard Alanna walking closer to him. Immediately a smile graced both of their faces when they finally turned to one another, seeing each other for the first time on their wedding day.
After a few newlywed photos, we brought out their families and bridal party for formal portraits who had been hiding away in their reception ballroom. Incorporating the tropical vibe outside, we utilized wall length windows as the backdrop for family formals before moving our bridal party to another pretty hallway, which I coined the blue hallway – because it was blue.
With photos wrapped up, family and friends headed to the ceremony while our couple stayed behind with their parents for their ketubah signing.
Orlando World Center Marriott Wedding Ceremony
Outside guests were patiently waiting for the procession to begin, which was where we ran into Jamie, owner and artist of Painting by Jamie, who was working on a live painting for our couple of their ceremony site – insanely cool!
With the procession about to begin, we started capturing our Rabbi who came out first followed by the bridal party. Alanna and Troy’s traditional Jewish wedding took place at sunset and incorporated several events, from the wrapping of the tallit around the two in significant becoming a joined unit, to breaking of a glass goblet significant of their marriage never breaking and who fragile love can be, so to treat it with the utmost care.
Once “I do’s” were shared and a first kiss sealed the deal, guests headed to cocktail hour, while our newlyweds hung back for a few sunset and nighttime portraits. I must say, I adore the killer shot of the two in front of their hotel – such a great large landscape shot showcasing their wedding venue.
Orlando World Center Marriott Wedding Reception
Back inside their reception ballroom, we finished capturing reception details, such as room decor, floral, and the band before reception entrances began. Dancing, dining, and a sweet send off goodbye filled the night!
Wishing our sweethearts a beautiful life together, mazel tov!
