Caitlin & Dario's Palencia Club Wedding - Captured by Lori

Caitlin and Dario tied the knot during their Palencia Club wedding in St Augustine, Florida. Starting our day off with their ceremony, the two opted to pass on getting ready and primarily focus on saying “I do” and dancing the night away!

How They Met

We actually met online on a dating app. But we got together about a year ago. I was getting off of work and was headed to a party with some of my coworkers. I invited him to come with because I thought it would be a great place to meet someone with it being a social event with lots of friends around. I had fun, but I had no idea I would like him so much. He knew how to talk to my friends (he fit right in), he was super sweet, and he had lots of interesting stories about his career. My two favorite things about him were his kind of shy and relaxed demeanor and the way he spoke so passionately about his interests.

What They Love Most

Dario about Caitlin: I love how I can talk to her and she is able to rationalize anything, I can completely understand her thought-processes. Also, she always lifts me up and pushes me to be a better version of myself. She has the most gorgeous eyes. I can laugh with her about anything; we honestly laugh by just doing nothing.

Caitlin about Dario: I love how much he understands me. Even when I feel unjustified in my feelings/emotions he knows why I feel the way that I feel. I love that he is so kind and relaxed, it balances out my OCD and obsessive need to plan and fix everything. He is also the most caring man I have ever met. He cares so much about the people he loves, and he never raises his voice to anyone. He has the best hair- straight out of an 80’s movie. And, best of all, he is right…we laugh at anything and everything together. There really is not a thing we cannot talk about or laugh at. I know he always has my back, and I know he can make me smile through anything.

The Proposal

So, our proposal was not a big surprise to us. Haha. I am about to graduate college, and he was getting settled into a new career. We sat down together one day and discussed where we see our relationship going, and we both decided that marriage was what we wanted with one another. So, I went to visit my parents for a few weeks and asked my mom for her special ring that had been passed down while he was at training in Colorado for the Air National Guard. When he got home I gave him the ring, and he officially got down on one knee at Bahama Breeze on Mother’s Day (May 10th, 2020) while we were at dinner with his mom and sister.
