Shelby and Anthony’s wedding at the River House Events in St. Augustine was a breathtaking celebration filled with charm, elegance, and heartfelt moments. From the very beginning of the day, the setting felt special—especially during their getting ready portraits in the venue’s iconic library, which set the tone for everything to come. Shelby looked radiant in a delicate lace gown with thin straps and a stunning low back, while Anthony wore a grey suit paired with a bold red tie. They exchanged vows outside with the peaceful river as their backdrop, then explored the venue grounds for their portraits, highlighting the romantic fountain, timeless architecture, and the grand entrance with its unforgettable statement door. As the sun set, the celebration moved inside for an unforgettable reception, complete with dancing and even a live serenade by close friends on guitar.
The Proposal
It was a simple Tuesday during the summer, Tony mentioned doing a photoshoot, so I had a picture for my friend’s wedding website. Tony, his sister and I drove out to Big Talbot Island where I started to get a little suspicious. We walked down the beach until we found a beautiful old tree that had fallen with its roots exposed and had been aged by the sea. He started taking my photos then asked his sister to take over so we could get a few of us together. We never really take pictures together so I though nothing of it. Then when I was readjusting so I did not fall off the tree he got down on one knee. I was so happy that I almost fell off lol then we celebrated by going to see if grandparents in Savannah to tell them the good news.
