Dani and Jake tied the knot during their Sirata Beach Resort wedding in St Pete, Florida. Pushed to 2021 from 2020, the two were able to keep their original date, which made for a beautiful start to their first anniversary.
Having met back in 2014 at Ohio State, Dani was in he senior year, while Jake was a junior. Meeting one another through living in the same apartment complex, the two bonded over football and eventually started dating a few months after becoming friends. Their connection was evident though from the moment they met, but love takes time.
Proposing to Dani in Acadia National Park, Dani never expected their getaway trip to have a secret surprise. During dinner at Jordan’s Pond, Jake popped the question, and of course Dani said, “yes!”
Flash forward to their big day, it was incredible to finally meet my destination couple in-person. Arriving a bit early, we started off with Dani and her girls getting ready, and afterwards our groom. Reminiscing to college days, my groom’s party cheersed with a few Nattys after Jake suited up. Back in our bride’s suite, Dani and her girls were also popping bottles – confetti ones! After putting on her dress, we captured a really fun bottle pop that definitely surprised us all.
A first look was well timed with evident storms in the distance, along with bridal party portraits against a killer mural backdrop at the beautiful Sirata Beach Resort. Of course we hopped on the beach for a few shots before the storms rolled through leading to an indoor ceremony, which was still a blast to capture regardless of not being on the beach.
After our ceremony, we ventured back out on the beach once the wind died down to capture a few more newlywed portraits before the party began. Reception entrances were followed by dining and dancing, which made for an incredible night!
Wishing my sweethearts a safe trip home, and beautiful forever together!
