St Augustine Engagement
Alexandra and Andy celebrated their upcoming nuptials with a vibrant downtown St Augustine engagement session. Visiting the historic area often, it was the perfect spot to showcase a place they love.
How They Met
From Andy, “We are both attorneys and met at a Jacksonville Bar Association event in fall of 2017.”
What They Love Most
Alex about Andy: “We are a continuation of one another. We often complete each other’s thoughts and say the same thing at the same time (“jinx! Jinx again!” is probably one of our most used phrases! Andy is my biggest supporter, favorite adventure partner, and has the best sense of humor.”
Andy about Alex: “At the end of the day, no matter how bad the day went, the fact that I get to lay next to Alex and the feeling I get that I can’t really describe.”
The Proposal
From Alex, “We got engaged at midnight on New Year’s Eve/Day 2020. Our apartment complex’s garage has a view of the fireworks downtown over the river, so we usually watch fireworks from there. For NYE, Andy suggested we walk to the river walk to “get a closer view of the fireworks.” That night, we went to a birthday dinner with his family and a friend’s NYE party before heading home to watch the fireworks. He had the ring in his pocket all night and I had no idea! I was so surprised and excited! When we got back to our apartment, he had champagne already chilled for us to enjoy. It was perfect!”
