Victoria and Matthew had their wedding ceremony at the gorgeous Sydonie Mansion in Mt Dora, Florida. They moved on to the Mammoth Oak Brewing Company to spend the rest of the night celebrating their special day. Congrats to the happy couple!
The Proposal
We got engaged on 8/17/2021. Matt took me to the restaurant across the street from where we had our first date. The bar and grill that we went to back in 2019 closed down in 2020, so this was the closest he could get, plus it was much more upscale. After dinner, we walked around a small koi pond/zen garden and he proposed to me on the bridge that we had originally spent most of our first date laughing and talking. He was the most nervous wreck I’ve ever seen him, and all of our friends knew he was proposing and had dropped hints the whole week. It was endearing watching him plan every little detail thinking I knew nothing when really, I knew everything.
Wedding Day Vision
We are hoping for a simple, boho wedding. We had originally planned to elope but realized we had too many people we wanted to share the day with. Because of this, we wanted to continue on with our simplicity but still enjoy the day with all of our loved ones. The ceremony will be held with an air of elegance, being at Sydonie Masion wouldn’t allow anything less. Sydonie has gorgeous greenery and gardens and we are hoping to really pull from their beauty. Our reception has small hints of the groom and brides love for dnd (dungeons and dragons) and is meant to have more of an earthy/home-y atmosphere. The brewery is owned by the brides brother and is like a second home to the bride and groom.
