Brittany and Roy tied the knot during their ceremony at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church and after danced the night away at Heritage Harbor Golf and Country Club. My sweethearts envisioned a laid back day filled with fun and love. Their black, white, and gold color scheme was the perfect formal aspect for their reception to tie in with their traditional ceremony.
Chantelle, the key to it all! A mutual friend of Brittany and Roy’s, Chantelle saw a match and tried to set Brittany up with Roy for over three years. The timing just didn’t work out, but finally in January of 2015, Brittany let Chantelle know that she was ready to meet her match. The two were both single at the time and ready to date, so the timing was finally perfect. Their first date felt like they had known one another for years and was fun and laid back from dinner at Outback to hitting golf balls at Top Golf in Tampa.
Falling in love was easy. The two just have a natural way with one another, and both agree that was they love most about each other is that they are both goal-oriented, hard working, and have similar ethics, morals, and views on life. Truly as Brittany explains, “we bring out the best in each other.”
Engaged on August 23 of 2016, Roy surprised Brittany over dinner at Monsier Paul, a French Restaurant in Epcot. Overlooking the lake as the perfect time of day – sunset – the two truly had the best table in the restaurant. After a lovely dinner, they selected dessert, and the manager brought out a plate of chocolate with writing in French. A little confused looking at the wording, as Brittany does not read French, the manager asked her if she knew what it meant. Nodding no, he said, the manager opened one of the precut chocolate balls on the plate to uncover an engagement ring! Roy quickly got on one knee and asked Brittany if she would marry him, which of course Brittany said, “yes!” One great surprise was followed by a next, as Roy also had a special picture to show Brittany of their new Australian Labradoodle that he picked out, which they would be taking home just the following month. Her dream of both having a puppy and marrying the man she loved came true all in one moment!
Their wedding day was like a dream! Meeting up with Brittany at the Hilton Garden Inn in Tampa, Florida, our bride and her girls were completely ready upon arrival – never happens! Brittany loves photos and wanted to make sure we were ahead of schedule from the beginning. Capturing robe shots, details, getting in the dress, and bridal portraits went so quickly before we all headed over to St. Timothy’s Catholic Church in Lutz, Florida.
St. Timothy’s is truly capitalizing from the moment you drive up. The sheer grand scale of the church is magnificent, along with the 360 alter placed in the center of the church. Roy, while not the biggest fan of having his photo taken, laughed it up with all of his crazy groomsmen for getting ready portraits and pre-groom’s party portraits. I think by the end of his time in front of the camera for getting ready, even he could not stop smiling with excitement for what was to come!
Deacon Peter Burns married Brittany and Roy among their friends and family. I loved that during the ceremony he took a moment to bring up Chantelle and discuss how she knew Brittany and Roy would be a match from the beginning – incredibly sentimental to incorporate a personal story during their ceremony.
After “I do’s” and a first kiss was shared, we captured family and wedding party portraits at the alter before heading over to the Heritage Harbor Golf and Country Club for their reception. Newlywed portraits on the cascading hills of the golf course before their reception entrance was the perfect way for the two to have a moment alone.
Dancing the night away to Music on the Move, we celebrated with our sweethearts until the very end! Wishing our darlings an amazing life together, filled with the love and happiness that they share.
Ps. don’t forget to always listen to Chantelle!
